Where rubber tyres make sense

Rubber tyres roll quietly and protect the floor. We make wheels and castors with a rubber tyre from 80 to 250 mm wheel diameter, as fixed castors, swivel castors, swivel castors with brake or as a plain wheel. They are made in Postojna, Slovenia.

They suit smooth and delicate floors such as tiles, parquet and linoleum, which is why they are common on hospital trolleys, office furniture, display stands and catering trolleys. Outdoors they run on garden paths and uneven ground. Where oil, solvents or heat reach the tyre, we recommend polyamide or polyurethane instead.

Wheel diameters

80, 100, 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 225 and 250 mm.

Fitting

The top plate with four holes is bolted on. The back hole suits equipment with a pre-drilled hole. The stem is pushed into the socket on the equipment.

Bearings

Plain bearings are enough for light to medium loads. Roller bearings take higher loads. Choose ball bearings when the castor is moved often and has to run easily.

Types

The fixed castor runs straight ahead. The swivel castor turns through 360 degrees. The swivel castor with brake can be locked. The plain wheel without fork is for your own designs and as a spare part.
